Conn was a Wellington Cowboys & St Johns Dubbo junior and he also played for the Canterbury Bulldogs and Gold Coast Titans. In 2010, he was signed by The Sydney Roosters. He was forced into retirement at the age of 25 due to spinal cord injuries. In the Round 12 of the 2011 NRL season, Conn received a major neck injury which needed major surgery to have his spine fused. After the surgery, he was informed by his doctors that it was very risky to continue his rugby career as he faced risks of more damages to his neck. At the age of 25, he called it quits from his rugby career. After his retirement from rugby, he starred in series 6 of Geordie Shore where he and his gang members travelled round Australia. In 2008, while playing for the Gold Coast Titans, Conn forcefully tackled then Canberra Raiders forward Michael Weyman with a swinging arm. Due to the pain from the tackle, Weyman angrily reacted and threw punches which broke Conn’s nose. Weyman was later banned for six matches. During the 2010 NRL Grand Finale, Conn once again met with then Dragon foward Weyman. He was booked for a high shot against Weyman. In 2008, Conn was castigated by a magistrate and fined $5000 and ordered to do community service after admitting to faking painkiller prescriptions.
