Kris Aquino was born Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino on the 14th of February, 1971 in Quezon City, Philippines to her mother named Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino and her father named Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. who was at the time of her birth a Senator of the Ferdinand Marcos regime, she was the youngest of five children and she grew up with four siblings named Maria Elena Aquino-Cruz, Aurora Corazon Aquino-Abellada, Victoria Elisa Aquino and Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III and she is of Chinese, Spanish and Kapampangan ancestry and descent.
While she was still a baby, her father was arrested and jailed and she and her siblings had to be raised by her mother, she spent most of her early days in the United States as her family was in exile, she also attended elementary School while in the United States, by the time she was 12 years old, her father was assassinated on the Tarmac of the Manila International Airport , it was after her father’s death that she returned to Philippines and began to campaign against the regime of president Marcos.
Kris Aquino attended her elementary School at the Saint Pedro Proveda College in Mandaluyong City, she enrolled at the Colegio San Agustin-Makati which is where she completed her High School education, and she then graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1992 with a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature.
