Lana Condor was born on the 11th of May 1997 in Can Tho, Vietnam and she was raised in Chicago, Illinois, United States, she was adopted by American parents Mary Carol and Bob Condor alongside her non-biological brother named Arthur Condor.
Her birth name was Dong Lan but after her adoption she was baptized as Lana Therese Condor, she and her family lived in Whidbey Island, Washington and New York City, but after turning 15 years old, she moved to Santa Monica, California.
Lana Condor attended The Rock School for Dance Education and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, she later trained at The Groundlings in improvisational theatre, she then went on to take up acting classes at the New York Film Academy and Yale Summer School for the Arts.
She also attended the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City and in 2015, she graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles and in 2016, she enrolled at Loyola Marymount University.
