Michael Shannon was born Michael Corbett Shannon on the 7th of August, 1974 in Lexington, Kentucky, United States and he was born to his father, Donald Sutherlin Shannon, an accounting professor at DePaul University and to his mother, Geraldine Hine, who worked as a lawyer and he was raised in Chicago, Illinois and Lexington, Kentucky and he grew up with two siblings.
