Temuera Morrison is a New Zealand actor and he is best known for his role as Dr. Hone Ropata on the New Zealand soap opera Shortland: Street and as Will Bastion in the 2001 movie Crooked Earth.

Temuera Morrison was born Temuera Derek Morrison on December 26, 1960 in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and he was born to his mother Hana Morrison and his father, Laurie Morrison, a musician and he grew up with his sister named Laurie Morrison.
Temuera Morrison attended Wesley College, Auckland and Western Heights High School, Rotorua.
Acting Career and Movies
Temuera Morrison made his acting debut in 1973 in the film Rangi’s Catch and he later went on to star as Dr. Hone Ropata on the television soap opera Shortland Street which aired from 1992 to 1995 and this role has been one of his most prominent role so far.
In 1994, he played the role of ‘The Muss’ Heke in Once Were Warriors and the film was a huge success in New Zealand, he then went on to appear in supporting roles in films such as Speed 2: Cruise Control in 1997, The Beautiful Country in 2004 and more.
Morrison has gained a lot of attention for his role as the bounty hunter Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones in 2002 and he has also gone on to reprise this role in many star war video games, in 2008, he appeared on New Zealand skit comedy television show Pulp Sport and in 2011, he portrayed Abin Sur in the film Green Lantern and in 2018, he starred as Arthur’s Father Tom Curry in the DC Comics film Aquaman.
