Nelson has a German ancestry, as his maternal grandparents were from Germany but they escaped the Nazis before the World War II began, they relocated to Britain in 1938, where Nelson’s mother was birthed and they later immigrated to the United States in 1941 and his father is a Russian Jewish emigrant.
