McDormand, who is also a Minister of Christ and Chaplain.
Due to the nature of McDormand’s adoptive parents work, she lived in various cities while growing up such as Illinois, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Monessen, Pennsylvania and she attended the Monessen High School and graduated in 1975, she enrolled at the Bethany College in West Virginia, where she earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Theatre in 1979, she later enrolled at the Yale School of Drama and graduated in 1982 with a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting.
